Our desire is to see as many changed lives as possible and we want your Youth Groups there. We understand that summer schedules are busy so we will be leaving the registration open for a bit longer. A couple other quick reminders regarding registration:

• When you are finished entering registrations, make sure you click "FINISH" to ensure that your registration is officially entered. If you do not, we will not receive it.
• All registration forms MUST travel with you to, from and during MUUUCE. So don't send those to us now, but make copies of your forms and provide these to the MUUUCE registration team when you check-in. Copies of the registration forms are required at check-in (sorry we forgot to tell you that before).
• Please mail a church check ASAP, made payable to Crossroads Church with MUUUCE 2014 in the memo line.

Emerge is a weekend retreat that focuses on high school leaders - anyone from eighth grade to graduating seniors. This year, the retreat has been redesigned to bring new challenges and learning. In addition to great worship and teaching, students will experience team work on both high and low ropes, and can choose seminars focused on learning leadership skills in specific areas: leading worship, leading as an athlete, designing and leading games, leading a Bible study, leading peers through crisis, and more.

Students explore how the way they're wired affects how they lead. They reflect on what it means to be a leader after God's heart as they worship and get into Scripture. They figure out what it means to serve on a leadership team as they face group challenges. And with you, their youth leader, they begin to plan how they'll carry their leadership experience back into life at home.

The cost of this retreat is $85 per person and is held at Lake Beauty Bible Camp. (The reason we chose Lake Beauty is because it's centrally located in our conference.) Registration materials are available at http://northwestconference.org/children-youth-family/emerge.

If you have students who want to attend, but don't have enough leaders available, please contact Ginny at ginny@northwestconference.org and we'll seek to place your student with another youth ministry.

Aug. 14 -15, various host sights

This powerful conference is one of the best investments you can make in developing your leadership skills and thinking. Through the National Network of Youth Ministries (www.youthwokers.net), we received a discount code to be used ONLY by youth pastors, volunteer youth leaders and students. By respecting this request, NNYM is more likely to be able to pass this code on each year. It is the Student Rate-the lowest possible rate of $79 for the whole conference.

Youth Pastor's Connection  

We start up with our Youth Pastor Connections on Sept. 18. We meet once a month from 12 -3 p.m. usually on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Other dates are Oct. 23 (due to MEA being the week before), Nov. 20, Jan. 15, Feb. 19, March 19, April 16 and May 21.

Friday, September 12 at 7 pm at Minnehaha Academy, Upper Campus. Cost is free. 

VIVE - Nov. 8 at Hope Academy and March 7 at First Covenant in St. Paul

This year, VIVE is a half-day event and is designed to inspire students in grades 7 through 12 to see college as a viable option after high school, especially if they're the first in their family to go to college.
