Youth Pastor's Connection

YPC logo new It's the last Connection of the school year. Tim Ciccone, the Covenant's new team leader for youth and family ministry, will be there. Pick up something to eat and join us for a time of networking and encouragement ... plus some stellar CHIC swag giveaways.

We meet at Bethlehem Covenant in Minneapolis from 12-3 p.m.

It's hard to believe that CHIC is just over a year away. CHIC is a triennial event in Knoxville, TN, where thousands of youth gather for small group Bible study and devotion, large group gatherings with speakers and music, and outdoor recreation.

Here are the prices:

$599 - Early Registration: Aug. 15, 2014 - Jan. 14, 2015
$649 - Normal Registration: Jan. 15 - April 14, 2015
$699 - Late Registration: April 15 - June 15, 2015

CHIC Transportation

The NWC will again be providing safe, reliable and economic bus transportation to and from CHIC. You get to hang out with students or sleep without worrying about highway construction or what to do if the bus breaks down.

We should have an idea of what the transportation cost will be by this July. (The bus company needs to wait until a year from the event in order to estimate fuel costs.) If your group is going to Knoxville early, staying longer, or wants to take a side trip, you can still go through the NWC for great bus prices.

Adventures in Leadership 2014

June 21-28 at Adventurous Christians

Be praying for this select group of high school students and leaders as they experience an intense week of leadership development in the BWCA. And pray that the ice is gone by then (we're only half joking).

MUUUCE 2014

Aug. 7-9, Crossroads Church, Woodbury, MN

Early bird registration cost for this EPIC jr. high/middle school event is $99 through June 30. From July 1-21, standard registration cost is $115. Registration closes July 21, or whenever capacity is reached. We're doing online registration this year.

EMERGE - a leadership retreat designed for younger leaders

Aug. 22-24, Lake Beauty Bible Camp

This year, Emerge is focusing on younger leaders who are heading into their 8th - 10th grade year (or so). The cost of this retreat is $85 per person. Registration materials are coming at the end of May.

Willow Creek Leadership Summit - youth ministry discount

Aug. 14 -15, various host sights

This powerful conference is one of the best investments you can make in developing your leadership skills and thinking. Through the National Network of Youth Ministries (www.youthwokers.net), we received a discount code to be used ONLY by youth pastors, volunteer youth leaders and students. By respecting this request, NNYM is more likely to be able to pass this code on each year.

NWC youth workers are eligible for the Student Rate of $79 (the lowest possible rate of the conference). Youth leaders are encouraged to bring their whole youth ministry leadership team and any mature students on their leadership team as well.
