NWC Family Go: Serve

April 26, 2014

Redeemer Covenant Church, Brooklyn Park

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Do your families with elementary aged kids know about Go: Serve? All of the information can be found on our website Go: Serve page.

Click on the flyer + registration link in the blue downloads box for complete details and a registration form. All you have to do is send this link to families, then let them know they need to register directly with the Northwest Conference office by Monday, April 14. They can print out the registration form and mail it in, call 612-729-4893 or email their information to cheryl@northwestconference.org.

GO: SERVE is an opportunity for families to learn and grow together, in a family-friendly, yet stretching, environment suitable for younger children. Families can expect to have their worldview expanded, to be inspired by God's kingdom workforce in the world, and to have opportunity to extend the hope and love of Christ with those experiencing unmet needs. We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity for families with younger kids. We hope you can join us!

There is no Children & Family Ministry Connection in April due to Holy Week. We will meet again on May 15 at the Conference office.

Thursday, May 15 - Leading Up: How to lead well from the second chair

Tiger McLuen led
by Tiger McLuen from Youth Leadership (www.youthleadership.org)

Noon to 3 p.m. Bring a lunch.

Leading well when you are not always given a seat at the decision-making table can present challenges. As an associate, part-timer or volunteer, how can you be an advocate and strong voice for children and family ministry? What are some practical ways you can influence those you work with to get stuff done, implement changes and work with teams so ministry can go forward?

Note location change:
Northwest Conference office. 3106 47th Avenue S., Minneapolis, MN 55406. 612-721-4893.

We are excited to have speaker Jim Wideman-children's pastor, author, speaker and ministry coach-join us. Think practical, encouraging training from someone who has been doing this for a long time. And it's FREE!
