Emerge: A high school leadership experience - deadline is 8/9  Strong student leaders are critical if a youth ministry is going to grow. Emerge is a great opportunity for you to bring your core students for a weekend of leadership challenge, education and experience. Students will explore how the way they're wired affects how they lead. They will reflect on what it means to be a leader after God's heart as they worship and get into Scripture. They'll figure out what it means to serve on a leadership team as they face group challenges. And with you, their youth leader, they'll begin to plan how they'll carry their leadership experience back into life at home. This amazing weekend takes place Aug. 23-25 at Lake Beauty Bible Camp. (The reason we chose Lake Beauty is because it's centrally located in our conference.) The cost is $78 per person. MUUUCE 2013!  Deadline is July 29 (or earlier, if it fills up) This is THE event for jr. highers/middle schoolers in our conference. Designed with early adolescents in mind, it's a wild mix of crazy games, fantastic adventures and spiritual challenges by Heather Flies - a hugely popular junior high pastor who's fluent in middleschoolese.
We kick off with an unbelievable carnival on the blacktop on Thursday evening, Aug. 15, and finish up on Saturday morning, Aug. 17. All of it for $94 per person. Youth Pastor's Connection
 We start up with our Youth Pastor's Connections on Sept. 19 at Bethlehem Covenant in Minneapolis. We meet once a month from 12 to 3 p.m., usually on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
Other dates are Oct. 24 (due to MEA being the week before), Nov. 21, Jan. 16, Feb. 20, March 20, April 17 and May 15.

VIVE - Oct. 26 in Minneapolis
 This full-day event is designed to inspire students in grades 7 through 12 to see college as a viable option after high school, especially if they're the first in their family to pursue college.
The day includes multicultural worship, a keynote speaker, and workshops for students, parents and youth workers on topics like financial aid, how to choose a college, as well as practical advice on preparing college applications and figuring out how to study like a (great!) college student. This free event is being held at Crosstown Covenant Church in Minneapolis.
