Join us tomorrow for the April Church Planter's Connection
Date/Time: Noon - 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 9
Place: Northwest Conference office
Bring a lunch and join us for prayer, updates, and our ongoing conversation.
We have been focusing on the Normal and Natural Pathways for a healthy, thriving church. Normal: these pathways are normal because they are what you plan for and what you normally expect to happen (but God can bring surprises!) Natural: These pathways are natural because they are what fit the culture, values and personality of your church and surrounding community (though you will sometimes have to do the unnatural, and will definitely need to operate in the supernatural) This month we are focusing on Leadership Development and Reproduction
- The Three Components of Leadership
- Spirituality
- Chemistry
- Strategy
- The Leadership Mix Metaphor: How do these three interact with one another?
- How do you balance your leadership style with the leaders God will bring to the church?
- How do we reproduce and develop more leaders?
I have attached a link for you to take an updated version of the Leadership Stool assessment tool. It is free for you to take the assessment and will take you about 10 minutes to complete. The first link is for senior pastors. If you have time take the assessment and bring your results with you to our meeting.

If you are inviting any of your staff they can take a separate assessment designed just for them. I have attached the link below:

If you are bringing any lay leaders or would like to do this with your team, I have attached a link for lay leaders to take the assessment.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow. Thanks for making this a priority in your busy schedules. We are better together.

'Sticky Faith. Sticky Annual Meeting'
How many students in your church graduate from high school and never look back on their faith? Research suggests that close to 50% of students who are active in a youth group throughout their senior year will fail to stick with their faith in college.
The Northwest Conference invites you to take advantage of the opportunity to hear Kara Powell unpack "Sticky Faith," and gain practical ministry tips for your church at our 2013 Annual Meeting. This is a chance for you to bring both leaders and parents from your church to learn about this critical research and how it affects the current generation.
You are invited to attend one or both of these sessions at no cost. Annual meeting registration is not required, and the invitation to hear Kara Powell is open to anyone interested in this conversation. Kara Powell will speak as part of Friday night's worship service, and will also present a full seminar on Saturday morning.
Schedule:
Friday, April 26, 7:30 p.m. Speaker: Kara Powell, "Sticky Faith Churches; The relationships and worship that benefit all ages"
After worship: dessert gathering and follow-up conversation, Minnehaha Academy Campus Center
Saturday, April 27 10:00 a.m. Speaker: Kara Powell, "Sticky Faith: Practical Ideas to Deepen Your Ministry"
Questions? Contact NWC office.
