YPC: Resource Day!

YPC logo new

Thursday, Feb. 21, we're turning the Connection into a Resource Day. Are you great at tweaking curriculum to meet your group's needs? How about writing it from scratch? Do you have a teaching technique that's proven to be really effective? What about a website that you've found to be helpful?

We're going to be learning from each other and swapping resources. Bring your books or curriculum that you're done using but might be helpful to someone else. (Because of limited capacity, if no one else wants it either, you have to take it back home with you).

Bring your lunch, curriculum, websites and books and meet us from 12- 3 p.m. on Feb. 21 at Bethlehem Covenant (3141 43rd Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55406-2292) www.bethlehemcov.org.

Next meetings: March 21, April 18, May 17

MOVE (Mission Outreach Venture Experience) is coming April 12-13

MOVE (Mission Outreach Venture and Experience) is coming April 12-13 at First Covenant Church in Minneapolis. Whether your group is one student or 100 students, join us for this annual high school service and mission weekend.

It's a great experience for students who are looking to put their faith into action. The theme is "Invisible" and we'll be focusing on the people-and injustices-who are often overlooked. Our speaker is Amy Williams, who ministers among gang members in Chicago.

Look for registration materials coming soon.

Kara Powell to speak at NWC Annual Meeting April 26-27

Kara Powell NWC Annual Meeting, April 26-27

Minnehaha Academy, Minneapolis, MN

This is an event that will help you help the church minister to adolescents. Our conference annual meeting this year features Dr. Kara Powell, lead author of "Sticky Faith," a series of research-based resources to help churches develop long-term faith in teenagers.

She'll be preaching at the worship service Friday night and leading a seminar on Saturday. Both events are free and open to Covenant churches. So bring your senior pastor, associate pastor, Christian Education board, parents and others in your church who care about teenagers.

To download promo materials or register for the meting, visit our NWC Annual Meeting page. For more information about Sticky Faith and free, downloadable resources, go to stickyfaith.org.
