Children & Family Ministry Spring Luncheon
Who: All NWC Children/Family Ministry staff ministers and key volunteers
Date: Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Location: Crossroads Church, 5900 Woodbury Drive, Woodbury, MN 55129 Speaker: Scott Peterson has worked with kids for over 30 years. He's a native Minnesotan who has served as the children's pastor at Redwood Covenant Church in Santa Rosa, CA, for the past 19 years. Scott says he learned everything he knows about ministry at Lake Beauty Covenant Bible Camp in Long Prairie, MN. He describes his ministry as "looking more like a camp than a church." Recharge draws over 700 Recharge was held on Jan. 12 at St. Andrew's Church in Mahtomedi, MN. Over 700 people, including 17 Covenant churches, participated in this day of training for children and youth volunteers. Kara Powell from Fuller Seminary shared about helping young people develop a faith that sticks beyond high school, and other Covenant leaders led seminars, hosted booths and met for lunch.  Kara Powell is coming back to MN to be our featured speaker at the NWC Annual Meeting, held April 25-27 at Minnehaha Academy. She will present on Sticky Faith on Friday night, April 26, and Saturday morning, April 27.
