Somerville Industrial Park Fire Update

Township Officials, Emergency Response and School Administration met early on Friday morning for an update of the situation at the Somerville Industrial Park.

Currently the fire is contained to the two initial buildings
All Township roadways are currently open, however, there is some congestion in the area and roadways can be closed as intermittently as fire operations continue
Fire Companies throughout the State have aided in the response
Tanker operations are on the scene
Power has been restored to all residents in the area, however, power remains out to the Industrial Park
Schools will be open on Monday
The status of weekend activities at the schools will be determined later today and announcements will go out the via the School Messenger
NJDEP Emergency Response and US EPA will remain on scene for further air quality monitoring
