SCLSNJ's Hillsborough Library branch will be open
9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, January 18th for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
SCLSNJ's Second Annual Harry Potter Book Night February 4th
Calling all witches, wizards and muggles: celebrate Harry Potter with trivia, crafts, games, prizes and more. If you arrive in costume, you'll earn an extra entry toward our prize raffle.
"I recently read an article from Time Magazine that stated the initial print run of Harry Potter that was distributed to libraries was just 350 books," said Linda Tripp, a librarian in SCLSNJ's Collection Development Department. "We now have almost 400 copies of Harry Potter books -- in seven languages -- available in our library system. We also have almost 200 copies of the various Harry Potter movies, over 30 copies of Harry Potter video games, and over 20 CDs featuring music from the Harry Potter movies available. All that considered, I would say that Harry Potter continues to be quite popular and very much in demand, 19 years later."
Harry Potter Book Night (grades 4-8) will be held at SCLSNJ's Hillsborough Library branch, located at 379 S. Branch Rd. in Hillsborough on February 4th from 5-6:30 p.m.
