Road Closure Advisory: 
 
Update from NJDOT - the Millstone Causeway on Amwell Road in Franklin Township will be open on or about March 6th, WEATHER PERMITTING.  Any additional information can be obtained by calling Meredith Hammond, NJDOT Community Relations Manager, Office of Community and Constituent Relations at 609-530-2110. 

Hillsborough Township Honors Hillsborough Woman's Club   

Hillsborough Township Committee presented a proclamation to members of the Hillsborough Woman's Club in honor of their 50th Anniversary.  The Club, originally started in February of 1965, are part of the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs, is the largest women's service organization in the state.  The Hillsborough Woman's Club is very active in the community through their fundraising and philanthropic work.

Hillsborough Township Continues to Recognize Long Time Businesses  

Hillsborough based businesses and organizations with over 25 years of operation within Hillsborough Township are being recognized at Township Committee meetings.  Those businesses recognized late last year include:

Hillsborough Township Offers Free Clean Up Coupons for Residential Access to Facility     

Annual Clean-Up Program to Begin in April, Coupons Available Beginning March 9th through April 30th

"It is that time of year for the Annual Hillsborough Township Clean Up and once again, this year, we are starting earlier", announced Deputy Mayor Greg Burchette, Liaison to Public Works at Tuesday's Township Committee Meeting.

Coupons for access to drop off at the Auten Road Facility and Senior Citizen stickers for curbside pickup will be available, beginning on Monday, March 9th at the Hillsborough Township Department of Public Works (DPW) office, located at 21 East Mountain Road, Monday through Friday 7 am to 3 pm.  These are distributed on a first come first serve basis.  There are 150 coupons available per date.  Senior Citizen Curbside service will begin on Monday, April 6th in the Northwest Section of town.  Stickers are required for Senior Citizen Curbside service.

"We are always looking for ways to improve our programs and based on feedback from our residents, we are offering two Saturdays a month, beginning in April and running through October," added Deputy Mayor Burchette.

This program is for Hillsborough Residents only and proof of residency is required.  The drop off site, located on Auten Road, across from the Auten Road Intermediate School, is open rain or shine on the specified dates.

Annual Fire Commissioners Election Results    

Congratulations to Fire Commissioner Michael Carone and Patrick Buckley on their recent election to the Board of Fire Commissioners.  They will each serve a 3 year term. 

Many thanks to Ex-Commissioner Greg Kane and Nicholas Patullo for their years of service to Hillsborough.

Hillsborough High School Musical "CATS" on March 6,7,8,13,14 

Cats will be performed at Hillsborough High School on March 6, 7, 8, 13 and 14.

Matinee Performances are scheduled for March 7, 8, and 14 at 1pm in addition to the 7pm show on these same dates.

Sunnymead's 15th Almost Annual Basket Auction on March 20th

Doors open at 6:00pm and the Auction begins at 7:30pm

The Sunnymead HSA invites you to join in the fun at their 15th Almost Annual "Crystal Bright Future" Basket Auction event to be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Polish Falcons Catering Hall at 140 Falcon Road in Hillsborough.

Doors open at 6:00pm and the Auction begins at 7:30pm. Admission is $20 and includes Light Refreshments, a Tray of Desserts per table and One Sheet of 26 Level 1 Tickets!

Somerset County to Honor Outstanding Women at March 27 Dinner   

Reservations Deadline Extended to March 11

FRANKLIN - Tickets are on sale for the 2015 Outstanding Women in Somerset County awards dinner sponsored by the County Commission on the Status of Women.  The deadline for reservations has been extended to
March 11.

This year's program will be held Friday, March 27, at The Imperia at 1714 Easton Ave., Somerset.  A cash bar at 6 p.m. will be followed by a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $55 per person.  Advance reservations are required by March 11; no reservations will be taken at the door.  For  a reservation form or more information, contact Commission Chairwoman Jane O'Donnell at (908) 2349302 or sccswomen@gmail.com or visit
