"Shop Hillsborough" Mobile App Now Available

Deputy Mayor Greg Burchette announced the launch of the Shop Hillsborough Mobile App at Tuesday's Township Committee Meeting.   "The Shop Hillsborough Mobile App offers residents a convenient way to access the current list of Shop Hillsborough participating merchants from a smart phone or mobile device," stated Deputy Mayor Burchette.

The Shop Hillsborough Program, introduced in September of this year, encourages residents and those who work in Hillsborough to shop locally by rewarding them with property tax credits or reward checks when they shop at any of the more than 70 participating merchants of the program.  Tax credits earned will be applied to the property tax bill, or in the case of a renter, a reward check will be issued.

The Mobile App can be found in the App Store for Apple devices and in the Google Play Store for Google devices.

Fall Rabies Vaccinations Available in Bridgewater Hillsborough to Announce January Dates Shortly

The Bridgewater Township Division of Health strongly urges all residents to maintain rabies vaccinations for their dogs and cats. Rabies in wildlife continues to be a public health concern in New Jersey and our community. The best defense against rabies is to assure that vaccinations are current for all domestic animals. Proof of current rabies vaccination is also necessary to license all dogs and cats.

The Division of Health has scheduled a Fall Rabies Vaccination Clinic for dogs and cats. The clinic will be held Tuesday evening, November 18, 2014, at the Finderne Firehouse. The firehouse is located at 672 East Main Street, Bridgewater. Rabies vaccinations for dogs will be held between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Cats may be presented for vaccination between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. All dogs brought to the clinic must be securely leashed. All cats must be brought to the clinic in a secure box or carrier.  All pets must be accompanied by an adult. Current license information at the time of the clinic is not necessary, but will serve to expedite the vaccination process. All rabies vaccinations at the clinic are provided free of charge.

For further information feel free to contact the Bridgewater Division of Health at (908) 725-5750 or via e-mail at health@bridgewaternj.gov.
