Hillsborough Township Celebrates 5th Anniversary of Senior Citizen Activity Center
|
The Hillsborough Township Senior Activity Center was transformed into a celebration center on Friday morning as Township's Senior Activity Center celebrated its 5 Year Anniversary. Mayor Frank DelCore welcomed Senior Citizens of Hillsborough who were honored with a Proclamation from Senator Kip Bateman in honor of the 5th Anniversary. Mayor DelCore also welcomed guests and highlighted future plans for the center in his opening remarks. "It is my honor to, as Mayor to be here and celebrate this anniversary with our very important Senior Community," stated Mayor Frank DelCore. The 3,000 square foot activities area, open to all Township senior citizens, consists of the main activity room where seniors can be found attending knitting groups, playing bridge or mahjong or just gathering and socializing. The game room is frequented by those wishing to play billiards, darts or table-top shuffleboard. For the reader and computer enthusiasts, there is the computer / library room, offering a quiet respite for reading and surfing the web. For full news account, click here...
