Engineering Advisory

Since winter weather is not far away, the Engineering Department advises residents to redirect their discharge piping off of streets and adjoining properties.  The sump pump discharge into the street can cause icy conditions in the cold winter months, which can become a safety hazard.  The Township has the right to require discharges be removed from the street if they are causing a safety hazard.  If you have any questions concerning proper discharge locations or general questions about sump pumps please contact the Engineering Department at (908)-369-4460.
