Somerset County Recognizes Top Three Booming Suburbs in New Jersey
|
The Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders recently awarded citations to Bernards, Bridgewater and Hillsborough townships for being recognized as the top three places to live in New Jersey based on Coldwell Banker's 2013 Best Places to Live for Booming Suburbs survey. In the survey, towns with a population greater than or equal to 22,275 were scored on about 20 attributes, including access to suburban amenities, proximity to good schools, commuting convenience, unemployment percentages and community safety. "Somerset County commends Bridgewater, Bernards and Hillsborough for their recognition as the top three suburbs in New Jersey," said Freeholder Director Peter S. Palmer. "We believe that the county's mix of good schools, businesses, commuting options, open space and triple-A bond rating makes Somerset County a truly desirable place to live."
