Library Advisory Board - Seeking Application for Members
|
The Hillsborough Public Library Advisory Board (HPLAB) is seeking applications for new members. The main objective of the Board is to act on the behalf of the Hillsborough community to assure the continued quality library services enjoyed in the past. Recent HPLAB sponsored activities include a Staff Appreciation Luncheon in honor of National Library week and representing the HPL in the Memorial Day parade. Future projects include a reorganization of a portion of the library floor plan to better serve our patrons.
"We seek individuals who are interested in both the library and the community as a whole," states Maggie Gagliardi, current Vice President and Chair of the Nominating Committee. "Although the time commitment is not extensive, the rewards are." We are especially interested in the volunteer talents of an attorney, event planner, and accountant, either as a Board member or advisor to the Board. The HPL Advisory Board meets six times a year. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and residents of Hillsborough. Members serve three-year terms, not to exceed three terms. Applications are available at the library and online at http://www.somerset.lib.nj.us/new/hllibraryadvisory.html.
