Hillsborough Officials Tour Medical Coordination Center at Somerset Medical Center

Hillsborough Township officials recently toured the Medical Coordination Center at Somerset Medical Center located in Somerville. The Medical Coordination Center is one of nine in the state established by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services to enhance statewide capability to communicate and disseminate information within the public health care system during large scale public health emergencies. Opened in 2008, the facility serves the state's Central West Region, which includes Somerset, Hunterdon and Mercer counties.

PSE&G Warns Customers of Defrauding Scam

PSE&G is warning customers and residents not to be defrauded by a scam in which individuals misrepresenting themselves as PSE&G employees threaten to turn off electric and gas service if payment is not made to them that day.   The scam, which has been reported across the country, involves payments using Green Dot MoneyPaks and seems to be targeting Hispanic neighborhoods in PSE&G's service territory.
