Hillsborough Township Committee Honor Donors and Volunteers of the Hillsborough Food Pantry

Portraits Volunteers and donors of the Hillsborough Township Food Pantry were among those honored by Mayor Carl Suraci and the Township Committee at Tuesday's Committee Meeting.  For their continued support and dedication to the Hillsborough Food Pantry, volunteers were recognized by the Mayor and Committee with a certificate of appreciation.  Donors to the Food Pantry were recognized with a commemorative plaque for their continued financial support.

"We are very thankful to all of our volunteers and donors of the Hillsborough Food Pantry, especially in these economically challenging times for so many of our residents," stated Mayor Carl Suraci, during his presentation to the recipients.

The Hillsborough Food Panty services approximately 80 plus families each month and over 100 families during the holiday programs.  Generally speaking clients of the Food Pantry obtain basic need items every two weeks.

"It is through the continued time and stewardship of our volunteers and donors that we have such an active Food Pantry," added the Mayor.
