Northeast Kingdom
KINGDOM VENTURE
April 2014
We STILL Have Snow!
The calendar says spring, but we still have lots of snow in the Kingdom which means spring skiing conditions are great!  VAST snowmobile trails are also in good shape for riding and stay open until April 15th.  Come on over and get in some last runs or snowmobile journeys before the snow melts and it starts to actually look like spring around here.  Soon enough, it will be fishing season and then SUMMER!

THE KINGDOM INDOORS
INDOOR FUN

Soon the snow will be gone, but no worries, there is much indoor fun to explore while in the Kingdom.   Bring the whole family to the Fairbanks Museum, housed in a classic Victorian building where you'll find a dazzling array of animals and artifacts, dolls and tools, shells and fossils, and Vermont's only public planetarium.  A visit to the MAC Center for the Arts is a must do and a chance to peruse the work of dozens of area artists.  A range of artwork and hand-crafted items are available including pottery, paintings, photography, jewelry, folk art and much more.

KINGDOM COMMUNITIES
DISCOVER JAY!

Of course, Jay is known for world class skiing and an abundant amount of snowfall, but the Jay area has many other offerings.  Jay, Montgomery, Troy and other nearby towns are filled with wonderful shops and country stores, bed & breakfasts, cycling, fishing, hidden swimming holes, mountain biking, great restaurants and an authentic Vermont charm that's impossible to manufacture.
