As you know, Coventry has information about our 2013/2014 health plan options for small group customers. They have an option to keep the plan they have today, or choose a plan similar to the one they have now. Good news! The deadline to enroll in a December 1, 2013 plan is now December 6, 2013!
Small Group December 2013 New Contract Option
We are offering a December 1, 2013, contract to all small groups with January 1 through September 1, 2013, effective dates. Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible for you and your customers. Existing clients electing a 12/1 contract can take advantage of:
- Consistent rating methodology
- Consistent benefits (same as today)
- Stability
What President Obama's Recent Announcement Means for You. You may have heard about President Obama's recommendation that would allow insurance companies to have the choice to renew existing plans in 2014. Until more information is available, we do not have enough information about how this impacts our customers. Please talk with your Coventry representative about the differences between the December 2013 plan and 2014 ACA plan. Once we have more information from state insurance departments or the federal government, we will know the premiums if groups decide to keep their current plan through 2014.
