Early Renewal Options - December 2013

As announced in our February broker meetings, Coventry Health Care of Virginia, Inc. is pleased to offer early renewal options for all small groups effective December 1, 2013. With the dramatic changes scheduled to take effect in the small group market in January 2014, we recognize that many of our mutual clients want the benefit and rate consistency, stability and predictability that would come with renewing off-cycle for another 12 months. This is similar to what we have done in the past - we have allowed clients to terminate an existing contract and start a new 12-month contract with different benefits. The only difference is that SBC requirements that became effective in September 2012 affect when employers can make these decisions and when they need to notify their employees.
This offer is entirely optional - if your clients want to take advantage of it, their local account managers will help them through a simple, streamlined process. Stay tuned for more information from your local account management team.
These are challenging and exciting times in our industry.
