December 31, 2013 Effective Date Option

You will see that we have an additional new effective date option in BenefitExpress for groups that would ordinarily have a January 1 effective date - December 31.
- Option is for small group new sales only
- Renews on December 1, 2013
- Allows ultimate flexibility for small group employers to renew for another 12 months before health care reform requirements for 2014 are effective
- Employers benefit from using the lower December 2012 rates
This year, the choice is yours - traditional January 1 effective date, or an alternative of December 31. Call your account representative for more details.

March Small Group Renewal Update

Our March Small Group renewals came in at an average of 8%; 43% of small group renewals were under 5% for the month. Low small group renewals: just one more reason to put your small group clients with Coventry.
Remember, renewals are now available 75 days before the effective date of coverage.

Key New Sales Markets

Due to area factor adjustments, the following markets have experienced significant rate reductions:
