Call to Caucus - St. Charles County, MO
On March 15, 2016 St. Charles County voters went to the polls and, by an approximate 2,000 vote majority, selected Donald Trump to be the Republican Party nominee in the 2016 election for President of The United States. The State majority was slim but still a clear win. ("Closies" only counts in horseshoes!) In St. Charles County the margin of victory for Trump was much larger percentage wise. The Missouri Secretary of State has now certified that Donald Trump won both the County and the State.
It is hard to believe that the Republican "Establishment" along with some of their cooperative and over-ambitious camp followers would attempt to overturn the clear will of the majority through rule changes and manipulation in order to select an alternate candidate of their choice. But that is exactly what is being attempted.
The lesson to be learned from this is that the Republican Establishment has long tentacles and, once it gains a controlling majority, has no hesitation whatsoever in disenfranchising both its honest and hard working grass roots volunteers AND the voters! You can make robo calls and lick envelopes until your tongue is raw, only to discover two hours after a victorious election that the "country club" Republicans and the elected politicians, who through their big donors who control the Party, will not even know you. The same situation exists in the Democrat Party... only mixed in with more corruption, communist leanings, lying candidates and government incompetence.
In 1954 I wrote an article that appeared in TIME magazine supporting General Dwight D. Eisenhower for President. I have been a participant in Republican Party activities ever since. During my active political life, I have fought to keep the Party bosses from making choices that amounted to disenfranchising grass roots voters. Unfortunately, my success, and that of others, in accomplishing that goal has been minimal.
That said, we now have a chance to choose a candidate that is NOT controlled by the Party Bosses, the special interests and the big money contributors. Will we seize the opportunity to enforce the wishes of majority voters or will we leave the important decisions concerning the future of our children and our nation where they have been for years...with the Party bosses, special interests and big money contributors? Let's not continue to allow Party bosses and corrupt politicians to decide our future. They are attempting to do just that in this election process through the use of Party rules, political manipulation of voting blocks, their pals in the media, robo calls, Establishment sponsored attacks on the front runner, issue distortion, gossip, rumor and on and on. You know the drill and see the signs. We are all fed up with it!
This caucus is our chance to send a loud and clear message that we will vote to uphold the will of St. Charles County and Missouri voters, as expressed by ballot in the recent primary election. We, not a manipulating Establishment composed of leaders who have very little respect for grass roots voter opinion, even when expressed by majority vote, have a chance to select how and by whom the important issues that affect our daily lives are decided. Send that message by volunteering to be a Delegate, attending the St. Charles County Republican Caucus on April 9th and voting for Donald Trump, a self funded candidate who will not take orders from the Party bosses!
The caucus will be held at the Francis Howell School just south of highway 40 on highway 94. Doors open at 7:30 AM and no one will be admitted after 10:AM. It is suggested that you arrive early, 9:00 AM or so, in order to register and fill out necessary paperwork. Attendees must bring a photo I.D. Voting records will be checked by a temporary Rules Committee to be certain you have voted Republican in the past election.

It is urgent that we act quickly because the caucus is just a week away and we need 150 volunteers in order have our votes counted and to submit a slate.
