Growltiger awoke this morning and turned on Fox Business to learn terrorists had bombed the Brussels (Belgium) airport and a nearby subway station. At the time, thirty people were known dead and scores more injured. Video of the scene showed smoke, carnage and devastation.
Anchor Maria Bartiromo was reading what was supposed to be a statement about the bombing but what was in actuality one more campaign statement by the annoyingly smarmy, Senator Cruz. Once Ms. Bartiromo finished reading, she dutifully advised the FBN viewers that Donald Trump had been the first presidential candidate to comment on the bombing. Mr. Trump had suggested that our borders be closed until authorities could properly vet those coming into the country. But what Mr. Trump said wasn't important. A very concerned Ms. Bartiromo advised her viewers that Trump had misspelled a word in his original tweet.
The misspelling had since been corrected, but the horror of a misspelled word in a tweet lingered on. If misspelling a word in a tweet doesn't disqualify someone from the presidency, what does?*
That's when Tiger turned to MSNBC to see what Mika and Morning Joe had to say about Brussels. Unfortunately for Mika and Joe fans, NBC had sent in its Big Bertha, former NBC evening news anchor, Brian Williams**.
It didn't take long for Mr. Williams to interview an "authority" by the name of Malcolm Nance, and even a shorter period of time for Mr. Nance to take a shot at Donald Trump for not wanting to let more Muslims into the country until we could figure out what they're up to. According to Mr. Nance, that is a very bad idea because the United States relies on intelligence from its friends in allies in the Muslim world. Without such dear friends and valuable allies, we might have atrocities such as San Bernadino, Fort Hood, the Boston Marathon bombing, 9-11. Oh, wait...
Mr. Nance has been involved in intel for 26 years, since 1991, and he was adamant about how valuable intel from America's Arab and Asian allies is. Without such marvelous intel, we might have had the World Trade Center bombed in 1994, or not known about the shoe and underwear bombers before they got on the airplanes, or even had three of our African Embassies blown up when Bill Clinton was president. Uh, wait a minute...
Mr. Nance advises us to keep on admitting Muslims but focus on finding the bad apples. Like how we found the San Bernadino couple before they shot up a Christmas party. Or perhaps the Tsaranaev brothers whom we let in, let back out, then back in again even after one of our non-friend, non-allies, Russia, warned us about them.
That's when Growltiger turned MSNBC off, too.

*That Ms. Bartiromo would bother to point out a misspelling shows just how terrified those currently holding power and/or influence and access to power are of any change in the status quo.
*Never a fan of Brian Williams, Growltiger has learned to respect the anchor. Originally outed for telling woffies which made him look good, Mr. Williams took his hammering in the press and from his bosses at NBC, groveled as anyone caught doing anything human must do, went away
