 Last Night in Chicago
By Growltiger*

Last night in Chicago was the equivalent of Nazis, Fascists and Bolsheviks along with useful idiots* banning together to silence the fee speech of a candidate for the presidency with whom they disagree and to deprive more than 9,000 Americans of their right to congregate peacefully to hear a political speech.

Those interested in joining the above junta can sign up for a book burning at the library next week.

Bill Ayers** showed up (1). Mexicans in sombreros cheered (2). Soros (3) backed MoveOn.org checked in to be heard and Black Lives Matter made the scene, all with one specific intent--to prevent Donald Trump from speaking and those who wanted to hear him from being able to.

Establishment media which is mostly owned and operated by the 1% who have benefited from the last 38 years of Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama governance*** and Mr. Trump's three remaining opponents blasted Mr. Trump for saying the kinds of things the protesters didn't want to hear: That America should decide who enters the country, that people living and working here illegally should be repatriated, that China shouldn't be allowed to continue to manipulate its currency, that the TransPacific Trade deal isn't beneficial to working Americans, that H1-B visas which bring in foreign tech workers to replace more expensive American workers should be suspended, that there should be a moratorium on Muslims entering the country, etc., etc., etc. All of Mr. Trump's policies and proclamations run counter to the open borders, one world, new world order of the Globalists who apparently want an end to sovereign nations.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel who knows a few things about black lives mattering, especially during an election year, said with a straight face, "For all of us who cherish the ideals upon which our country was founded, the hateful, divisive rhetoric that pits Americans against each other demeans our democratic values and diminishes our democratic process...."

In other words, Mr. Trump: Shut up. Let the inmates run the asylum. Back down, sit down, and let those who have done such a bang-up job with the economy, jobs, wages, the middle class and small business and given us perpetual war in the Middle East keep on keeping on. After all, one percent of Americans are doing just fine; in fact, they're thriving.

Mayor Emanuel went on to "thank the men and women of the Chicago Police Department for their hard work tonight in unexpected circumstances, and their continued commitment to protecting people's first amendment rights."

Whose first amendment rights? Mr. Trump was prevented from speaking. Nine thousand people who wanted to hear him speak were prevented from listening. So whose first amendment rights were protected? One can only surmise only the first amendment rights of the vocal one thousand counted in Chicago last night.

What happened in Chicago last night should chill the blood of even those most opposed to Mr. Trump, for it was the visible beginning of what mob rule in America will look like. We saw it in Ferguson, we saw it in Baltimore and we saw it in Chicago last night.

Mr. Trump has been castigated by the Republican establishment as well as the Democrats for pointing out that a country without borders is no country at all, but what he pointed out last night without opening his mouth is that a government, which allows a vocal minority to silence a peaceful majority, is no government at all.  So, given last night in Chicago, why vote? If Ayers, Soros, Mexicans in sombreros, MoveOn.org, Black Lives Matter don't approve of our choice, they simply will silence us.

*In political jargon, useful idiot is a term for people perceived as propagandists for a cause whose goals they are not fully aware of, and who is used cynically by the leaders of the cause.

**Who is Bill Ayers? Remember the Sixties? Ayers was there. He has a long history of violence (7)

**Rupert Murdoch, Robert Mercer (4), Jeff Bezos, Carlos Slim (5), Who Owns the Press (6)

However, as a journalism enterprise, we reserve the right at any time to be both critical and supportive of a wide range of issues and of candidates running for pubic office.  Our goal is to publish a sampling of information, views and opinions that we feel are representative of arguments being offered by various campaigns. One of our objectives is to provide voters with a sampling of information and opinion that we feel is interesting and informative. A motivating factor in our activities is to focus on what we believe to be in the public interest. It goes without saying that our choice of what to publish depends on many factors such as quality of writing, clarity, appeal to our audience and various other factors. It cannot be, and is not meant to be, all things to all people or comprehensive in coverage. (We do not sell things or advertise!)  Obviously, we are independent conservative oriented. We publish Guest Editor's opinions because we feel their views are not only interesting and informative but deserve whatever additional distribution we can give them. That said, their views are their own and do not necessarily mirror ours.
