The President and his supporters like to offer Americans false choices. Example: Sign on to the Iran-gets-nukes Deal or go to war. In other words Either or Or. Why not Neither? Why not continue with the sanctions already in place? So Europe won't go along? That's Europe's decision. America holds x billion Iranian dollars. Keep the money. That's x billion fewer dollars Iran can use for their Death to Israel and America Program. No war, no confrontation, just No.

Republican politicians have been promising to "build a wall" since 1986 when President Ronald Reagan gave amnesty to three million illegal immigrants. We're still waiting. (Democrats don't bother lying about building a wall; they want the votes).

As with the false War or Nukes Deal, politicians of both parties now offer the false choice of rounding up the 11-30 million undocumenteds or letting them stay (amnesty by any other name).

The most unlikely candidate in the Republican field rejects the false choice the establishment politicians offer, and for his trouble he has been excoriated by the amenestarians (sic) on both sides of the political aisle. The only people who like Donald Trump are the people who have rewarded him with a commanding lead in the polls. In most polls establishment pro-amnesty candidate, Jeb Bush, is second, but neurosurgeon Ben Carson is gaining fast.

Pro-amnesty pundits deride Mr. Trump's plan  as unworkable, and it is if one's goal is to open the borders and and give amnesty to all those who can get here.

But what if we:

Build the wall. As Donald Trump pointed out, if China could build the Great Wall in 700 BC, then surely the country who put a man on the moon can build an acceptable barrier in the 21st century. So far as Mexico paying for the wall, deduct the cost from the foreign aid we send them that takes care of their citizens who didn't make it across the border.

Deal With the FelonsThough the pro-amnesty media puts great effort into keeping a lid on reports involving illegal aliens who commit felonies, the more egregious crimes do manage to leak through the filter. Those who commit a felony should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, then returned to their home country. If the wall is in place, they won't be back.

Return Those Who Commit Misdemeanors. No more "catch and release". Those caught driving drunk or selling pot get a one-way, first-class ticket to their home country along with a one time payment of  $500.00 to tide them over in their home country until they can find a job.  Call it humanitarianism with a bite.

Cut Federal Funding to Sanctuary Cities. If San Francisco offers sanctuary to murderers, rapists and drug dealers let San Franciscians foot the bill. Just so everyone understands those having sanctuary will be picked up by ICE if they set foot outside the city limits.

Pass Draconian Legislation Against Hiring and Enforce It. No more patty cake! Any employer who hires an undocumented worker or illegal alien gets six months in jail and a $6,000.00 fine. No plea bargains, no fancy lawyering and no exceptions. Six illegals equal 36 months in the slammer and $36,000.00 in fines.

No Welfare for any but U. S. citizens or those holding green cards.

Emergency Medical Care for illegals with ICE waiting for them upon discharge.

Anchor Babies. The 14th amendment supposedly confers citizenship on babies born in the United States. Perhaps so. Constitutional scholars can argue that one in the courts. In the meantime, illegal immigrants who give birth in American hospitals are discharged to ICE who will provide them with a first-class one way ticket and $1,000 U.S. dollars to get them started again in their country of origin. So far as the anchor baby goes, they can take the little darling with them or leave him or her here to be placed in the U. S. welfare/foster program. At age 18, the U. S. citizen can return provided the courts have not decided immigration by childbirth is not what the Constitution says.

Public Education:  Anyone attempting to enroll a child in public education must furnish the child's birth certificate along with one parent's birth certificate or green card. If the parent cannot produce either, ICE will escort them to the airport and their first-class ticket and $1000.00.

Higher Education: Any college or university accepting an illegal immigrant loses all federal funding. (Sorry, Governor Perry).

These policies should whittle down the 11-30 million to a manageable number that then can be "rounded up".
