DONALD TRUMP VS
THE REPUBLICAN INSIDERS

by Chuck MacNab

Donald Trump's entry into the Republican nomination race is worrying Republican "insiders." Of course their arrogance and long held belief that their grass roots voters "have nowhere else to go" has encouraged a negotiator like Trump to offer what he instinctively knows will challenge this notion. It is difficult to believe that Republican "insiders" are still betting that the grass roots is fickle and stupid and will eventually follow them over the usual cliff...even considering that the grass roots folks gave them the majority in both houses of Congress.

Bill O'Reilly often uses the term "blather." That is all we have heard and no action is all we have seen from the Republican controlled Congress. Along comes Trump and says what people want to hear. Of course the Republican and Democrat "political class" will blast him! Rightly or wrongly the public is sick of hearing carefully laundered and politically correct words from do-nothing politicians and their so-called "experts." They are worn thin by the tragedies unfolding in their country and around the world while vast sums of money are sloshing around to produce nothing but talk and, in the case of Iran, China and Russia, possible disaster!

Trump senses the vulnerability of the "political class" because they are so far removed from the voting public that they are really missing in action. Hillary hasn't driven a car or gone grocery shopping for years so how could she possibly know what is going on with grass roots people! Of course, she really doesn't care and is only doing what Bubba and "her smart professionals" tell her will win the White House. The charter members of the Republican Party and media "political class" have confidence that their slick advisors, professional campaign managers and big money supporters will ultimately win the election because they believe the majority is fed up with Obama.

What they may be failing (or are unable) to deal with is that a coalition of women, who simply want a woman president (no matter what), massive election fraud, hundreds of thousands of immigrants empowered to vote (whether legal or not) and the "free stuff" crowd have turned the country into "The United States of Chicago!" We have made this observation (it could be called a prediction) many times in past commentaries. It doesn't take a genius to see what has been happening over the past few Administrations, though we will take some credit for our effort to illuminate the obvious.

Republican leaders will call on Madison Avenue and their "most professional" advisors to convince a majority of conservatives and independents that Trump is "trash." There is a lot at stake and if Trump continues to attract crowds and climb in the polls they will turn to their old boy network (nothing new) to get the job done. The question is, what will be the cost? It could be the election. In which case, we will need to thank them again for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and for giving Hillary the enormous power of the American Presidency. She will first use it to exact unbelievable revenge on those who opposed her!
