SKEPTICAL

When Bill Clinton was president, political opponents subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) commented on the number of mysterious deaths and suicides that occurred among Mr. Clinton's political liabilities. The mainstream media rightly gave little purchase to the claims that anyone connected to a Governor or President could be involved in something as heavy handed, gauche and mundane as the rubbing out of political adversaries.
But flash-forward twenty-three years and suddenly the American media are not so sure that a gangland-style shooting on the streets of Moscow wasn't somehow connected to or ordered by the President of the Russian Federation.
Huh?
Are we supposed to believe that a politician who has ruled Russia one way or the other since Y2K;
The iron-eyed strong-man who forced South Ossetia and Abkkhazia back into the Russian Federation in 2008;
Who orchestrated the annexation of Crimea without leaving Russia's fingerprints on the event;
Who currently is manipulating the annexation of Eastern Ukraine the same way he annexed Crimea;
Who has bested and flummoxed at every turn the man who, according to the American media, is the most brilliant intellect to ever assume the presidency of the United States;
Who is in the process of co-opting Western Europe and diminishing the power of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization;
Couldn't find a more creative way of getting rid of a political liability than gunning him down on the street?
Please!
