IRAN - A ROOT CAUSE OF THE TERRORIST PROBLEM

In our view, the spectacle on TV of a back and forth between expert retired Generals, TV pundits and  elected and appointed politicians concerning what to call terrorists... is nothing short of ridiculous. Obama and his advisors need to be informed that politics cannot replace sound policy and to continue to produce policies that play such a game will lead to disaster for the country and an election that will deliver results like 2014 in spades! Despite the rhetoric, we wonder if he cares and if those in the Democratic Party do?


Let's cut to the chase and recognize that we must adopt a policy that will deprive the terrorists of their most basic support. We should start at the point where terrorist organizations around the globe get their support. That support comes from Iran...period! Therefore, instead of fishing around in many different ponds trying to differentiate between this group and that and by failing to remedy the current ineffective policies we are encouraging terrorists in their activities.  We should make it clear to all terrorists and their "mother ship," Iran that we know where the root cause of terrorism originates and where it gets its support. We should make it clear to the Iranian Mullahs that unless they stop supporting those who threaten our security and that of our allies, they can look forward to a "Desert Storm" type of operation coming their way. We need to leave no doubt that we are through promoting confusion and will treat Iran and its terrorist front organizations the same way we dealt with the Nazis during WWII. Such a policy, with convincing action behind it, should put the terrorists and their "mother ship," Iran, on notice.


We currently have the strength to get this done but we may not have it in the near future. A "sea change" will occur when the Iranians obtain nuclear weapons and the ability to deliver them.  The Mullahs, the terrorists and Netanyahu know this, even if Obama does not! We face an unpleasant set of circumstances brought about by a blind Administration guided by naive ideas about the real world. Obama and his foreign policy advisors are close to proving that they are more interested in political correctness than they are in the long-term survival of American citizens. Now is the time to act! It is time for the people's representatives in Congress to call a halt to the current Administration's misguided views concerning the nation's foreign policy and its incompetent management of security. The only acceptable indication of understanding by Iran and its terrorist clients would be a verifiable and complete abandonment of attempts to develop nuclear weapons and ICBM's.
