Tuesday (today) is election day.

Across Missouri there are several races that are close.

Races that are polling within the margin of error - a virtual tie!

Turnout is predicted to be very low  - some counties are predicting turnout in the 20s

How close is that?

If 24% of registered voters turn out and the race is a tie,  then only 12% will vote for each candidate.

Yes,  we have races in Missouri that are that close.   Now let's look back at a few races.

In 2008,  a Missouri State Senate race was won by 73 votes!

That Senate race was won by a  margin of 1 vote per precinct.

And that was not the closest senate race in recent memory.

Another was won by just 50 votes!

Each Missouri Senate district represents approximately a population of 175,000 residents.

Not too long ago,  a mayors race was won by 3 votes.

Who wins those close races on Tuesday is determined by one factor above all else.

How many of each candidates supporters turn out to vote.

Want to change the political landscape on Tuesday?

Ask 5 people to vote who might not otherwise bother to this year.  Ponder that idea for a moment.  You know who those folks are.  They typically agree with you politically, but on non Presidential election years they don't bother to vote.

This year,  we need them.

Call them on Monday and discuss issues and candidates in your area.   Ask them to vote Tuesday.

Call them again on Tuesday mid-day and follow up to see if they have voted yet.

If not, offer to go pick them up and drive them to the polls.

Make sure your pick of 5 registered voters actually vote on Tuesday.

It won't be hard to find 5, since its predicted that up to 76% of registered voters will stay home on Tuesday.

The way we win those close races is to make sure our supporters actually go vote.

In case you doubt how effective this is, it is how Barrack Obama got elected and re-elected President.   He did not have the best ideas.   He did not have an unbeatable lead on his opponent.  He simply had the best ground game for getting people to the polls.

We can use the same strategy this year.

Plus conservatives,  tea party and patriot folks are much more involved this year in Missouri than the liberal voters.

We already have an edge.  We have momentum in Missouri.

We just need you and 5 of your contacts to actually cast a ballot on Tuesday.

--------
p.s.  Want to make a bigger difference?   Recruit 5 registered voters to recruit 5 of their own.
p.s.s  (Today) make those calls.  Phone calls are the most effective way on the day before the election.   Not emails  Not FaceBook.   Not blog posts.   Phone calls work and because the voters you choose know you personally,  they are most likely to respond.
