ANOTHER DEMOCRAT'S VIETNAM?
By  Chuck MacNab

The media reported earlier today that 12 Kurdish fighters were captured and beheaded by ISIS. Three of them were women. If the Turks refuse to fight ISIS and provide boots on the ground, the Kurds will be the best fighters and the most reliable allies in the region. We cannot and should not trust the Iraqi Army or the so-called "moderate" Syrian forces. We will be squandering money and wasting time training and equipping these, proven to be unreliable, groups. The Kurds and the Turks or our own forces are where we should put our confidence and our resources. After all, we have been told that we are actually in danger, here, on our own soil. The way things are being managed by the current Democrat leadership, we believe we are!

We heard on FOX News, from a Christian Pastor yesterday, that an Iraqi Army soldier told him that if he spotted ISIS coming he would take off his uniform, presumably drop his weapon and run away and that he was only in the army for the money. Given this obviously widespread condition, why are we giving the Iraqis hundreds of millions of dollars and equipping them with the latest weapons, of which the last batch, without a fight, have wound up in the hands of ISIS.

The Iraqi government is on a par with the Obama Administration when it comes to allowing political decision making to dominate essential military strategy. The rules of engagement, as they have been since the community organizer became Commander In Chief, are dangerous to troops in the field and are borderline ridiculous. We believe the decisions that have been made in Iraq mirror Obama's mindset when it comes to military action! There is ample reason to believe that he and a small group of militarily inexperienced and incompetent, far left liberal advisors in the White House are forcing their opinions on the military and are, in fact, micro-managing day to day military decisions. This is leading to an ineffective and costly air campaign that is allowing ISIS to continue gaining ground and threaten a host of territories, including Baghdad itself.

According to a multitude of media reporting and from testimony by Kurdish officials visiting the U.S., though he has long promised to do so, Obama is NOT delivering weapons that are needed to give Kurdish forces an even chance in fighting ISIS. In addition and for menial political reasons, the Iraqis will not send the Kurds weapons supplied by us that might give the them a fighting chance to avoid the sort of bloodthirsty losses and beheadings mentioned above.

We suspect that Obama's principal advisors are not the generals and admirals he should be listening to. Not to take experienced military advice is sheer folly and nonsense. Do we want to win against the radical Jihadists or not? We speculate that Obama's principal "advisors" are Valerie, Susan and Michelle and ALL of their decisions are POLITICAL! What a lineup of military experts! Now, we ask, if this view has validity, just how can we avoid squandering billions of $ for nothing, with the result being skeptical allies and humiliation in front of the world? Vietnam had such an outcome created by much the same strategy and run by another Democrat President...LBJ!

In our opinion, the way Obama and his "advisors" are conducting the war in the Middle East we will uselessly spend scarce financial resources and create a condition dangerous to our national security. In observing the decisions being made by the Obama Administration it is almost as though its 60's, hippy, crony leadership is trying to destroy both our financial integrity and our ability to mount a viable national defense. Make no mistake, under Obama's leadership we are in uncharted waters where every American may ultimately be at physical risk both at home and abroad.
