A VERY REPULSIVE SPECULATION
By  Chuck MacNab

Eric Holder has resigned as U.S. Attorney General. That's the good news! However, the thought crosses our mind that we have not seen the last of Eric Holder.

For instance, a very ugly thought occurs to us. What if his closest of pals, President Obama, has him lined up to fill a vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court? It is well known that some members of the Court are getting up in age and/or may be in ill health. Justice Ginsberg may fall in this category. If Holder were to replace Justice Ginsberg that probably would not change the balance on the Court but if a non-liberal or conservative leaning judge were to vacate, Holder's appointment could be a disaster for conservatives and for the country.

The truly repulsive thought of Holder as a Supreme Court judge, of course, is pure speculation at this point, but we are mindful of the timing of his resignation. If the Republicans should obtain a majority in the Senate in November, the Democrats would maintain a majority until January and may be able to ram through Holder's appointment.

As a matter of strategy Senate Leader Reid would not allow a vote to confirm the appointment until after the November elections because Holder is so disliked that it could significantly increase Republican voter turn out. If the Republicans should win the Senate, Democrats would still hold a majority until January. So strategy would dictate that Reid would wait until just after the election to hold a vote to confirm Holder's appointment.

Our thought that Eric Holder may soon be in line for an appointment to the Supreme Court is not a predication by any means. However, as we approach the November elections, conservatives, independents and those who want a change from what the Democrats have forced on the country might keep the thought in mind. Those who are thinking of either splitting their vote or not voting because they believe some of their pet issues have been ignored or neglected by the Republican Party should consider our speculation carefully.

We need to remember that Barrack Obama won the 2012 election for President because many independents and conservatives stayed home for one reason or another and did not vote. Reflect for a moment on the chaos, corruption, and now war, that have resulted from electing Barack Obama to a second term!
