FISHING REPORT
Fish can be found in 32 to 35 feet off the edges of the deep rocks. Pull rigs with leeches thru these areas as the fish are scattered. Shaws Reef is also holding fish in 10 to 12 feet. Fish at dusk with slip bobbers and leeches to target these fish.

Toucan's welcomes Jill Rogholt as our new General Manager. Stop in and say hi! Here's a brief introduction...
Jill comes to Toucan's as a veteran of the restaurant business, having worked as a server, bartender, cook, manager and general manager in restaurants from Florida to Philadelphia until making her home in Minneapolis 20 years ago. Her most recent experience was as Director of Food and Beverage at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Saint Paul, overseeing both the restaurant and banquet facilities. From beachside bars to fine dining, Jill has lead many wonderful teams and is proud to now work alongside the great crew at Toucan's. Along with her husband Terrance and their two dogs and cat, she's ready to settle into the good life here at Lake Mille Lacs and Toucan's. |

Natural product to potentially control zebra mussels being tested

A research project, using a natural product called Zequanox, is underway at Lake Carlos State Park in an effort to discover an effective and environmentally safe means to control zebra mussels and protect aquatic ecosystems, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources announced.
