Remembering William Friedlander

The Greater Cincinnati Foundation lost a dear friend on September 10, 2014. William A. Friedlander, chairman emeritus of Bartlett & Company, presided over a period of crucial transition for the Foundation's operations, both internally and externally.

We remember Bill's many contributions to the Foundation and our Greater Cincinnati community. Bill was a member of GCF's Governing Board from 1981 to 1990, chairing the board in 1985 and 1986, and served as Volunteer Director from 1990-1994.

Bill and his wife Sue have been supporters and champions of GCF for many years, receiving the Jacob E. Davis Award together in 2009. They have been supporters of many other organizations here in our region with their leadership and generous philanthropy.
