The event's highlight was honoring three community leaders.   

Kathy Merchant, GCF's President/CEO with John and Francie Pepper.

 

Francie and John Pepper received the Jacob E. Davis Volunteer Leadership Award. Both spoke about their favorite causes. You can watch the video here. The Peppers designated their grant for receiving the award to Cincinnati Youth Collaborative, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati. John Lame of Lenox Wealth Management received the Bridge Builder Award for his service to GCF and helping make connections to charitably-minded clients. You can watch John's speech here. A grant in his honor will be given to the United Way of Greater Cincinnati Foundation Fund. He and his wife, Susie, plan to match the grant. Read more about John here.
