An Eagle Scout Proud to Serve
Dustin Ratcliff completes Eagle Project
One of the most rewarding things at Horses Help is not just the inspirational ridership at the center but the growth and passion of our volunteers. Dustin Radcliff is a 16 year old Junior at Deer Valley High School. Dustin is kept busy with National Honor Society, track and field cross country member, academic exellence and pursuing his Eagle Scout rank. Horses Help has been lucky enough to have Dustin volunteering with the center for several years. We were extremely fortunate to have had him select a Sensory Trail application for the center as his Eagle Scout project. The project was selected because Dustin felt it would be beneficial for the students who were working on mobile skills, and sensory stimulation. The stations included a tether ball application, spinner station, theraband station, giant tone chime, and car wash. Dustin's gathered the materials with the help of our community leaders like Home Depot, Alliance Lumber and Mr. Gilburn. A host of friends and family and Boy Scout Troop 526 help to erect the sensory applications with a lot of hard work. Dustin also give acolades to his parents who were his biggest supporters.
Dustins Note to Horses Help:
" I hope the students of Horses Help enjoy their new Sensory Station Trail. It was a pleasure being able to create and build something that will benefit the students of an organization I have truly enjoyed working with. It is the Eagle project I know I will not forget for years down the road. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help!'
We here at Horses Help appreciate the time and talent donated to the center by Dustin and his crew and congratulate him on achieving his Eagle Scout milestone.
