Transition in Leadership
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors announced today that Kathi Pfeiffer would be stepping down as President of Horses Help. Seth Lansky will be moving from Vice President to newly elected President and Brian Elsey will be moving to the Vice Presidential position.  Congratulations to all of these volunteer board members for their time and talent.

A note from Kathi.
As I transition out of the position of Board President for the last 7 years, I reflect on my time served.  From the start it has been a rewarding experience with several growth and learning periods.  The dedication of the staff and Executive Director has been very admirable.  The volunteers that I have met that give their time and heart to this organization have been and example for me that I don't ever want to lose.  Horses Help is a passion for me and will continue to be as I move to a non-executive position on the board.

A note from Seth:

My son has been riding for more than 10 years, and I have been involved with the board almost as long.  My passion to serve is only dwarfed by the efforts of the many wonderful volunteers, dedicated staff members, selfless Executive Director, devoted fellow board members and incredible supporters that make Horses Help the premier therapeutic riding center that it is.  I welcome parents and others to join us in our mission to serve those in need and experience the joy that Horses Help brings to so many.

An Eagle Scout Proud to Serve
Dustin Ratcliff completes Eagle Project

One of the most rewarding things at Horses Help is not just the inspirational ridership at the center but the growth and passion of our volunteers.  Dustin Radcliff is a 16 year old Junior at Deer Valley High School. Dustin is kept busy with National Honor Society, track and field cross country member, academic exellence and pursuing his Eagle Scout rank.  Horses Help has been lucky enough to have Dustin volunteering with the center for several years. We were extremely fortunate to have had him select a Sensory Trail application for the center as his Eagle Scout project. The project was selected because Dustin felt it would be beneficial for the students who were working on mobile skills, and sensory stimulation.  The stations included a tether ball application,  spinner station, theraband station, giant tone chime, and car wash.  Dustin's gathered the materials with the help of our community leaders like Home Depot, Alliance Lumber and Mr. Gilburn. A host of friends and family and Boy Scout Troop 526 help to erect the sensory applications with a lot of hard work. Dustin also give acolades to his parents who were his biggest supporters.

Dustins Note to Horses Help:

" I hope the students of Horses Help enjoy their new Sensory Station Trail.  It was a pleasure being able to create and build something that will benefit the students of an organization I have truly enjoyed working with.  It is the Eagle project I know I will not forget for years down the road.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help!'

We here at Horses Help appreciate the time and talent donated to the center by Dustin and his crew and congratulate him on achieving his Eagle Scout milestone.
