Carolyn Allmon Improving Forecast Accuracy:
The Fundamentals
presented by: Carolyn Allmon

But, what are the most important considerations to achieving the greatest accuracy? After citing some examples of the benefits of accurate forecasts, this presentation will focus on six essentials to improving forecast accuracy which any company can apply, regardless of size.

New Chapter Program:

Lyle HenningMember Referral Program

by Lyle Henning, CIRM, Vice President Membership

As dedicated members, you have reaped the rewards of APICS certification and participation in APICS events! During the holiday season, the gift of sharing is on everybody's mind. In that spirit, we are launching a new program to reward our members who refer APICS to their colleagues and friends.
Members can earn points for non-member sign up referrals to PDMs, seminars, classes, workshops, and most importantly, membership. The more you spread the word, the more points you earn!

Criticism Sucks!

"Let me drive the boat.".

It was the one statement from the Creative Director that I'd come to dread. It usually came within moments of his reading over my shoulder as I wrote advertising copy on my computer.

It meant, "Get out of your seat; I'm going to start changing your work."

We are well underway for the 2012/2013 APICS year. I am excited about some of the new things happening this year and I hope our members are too. Last week I took part in a pilot test of a new simulation training class that we will hopefully be launching soon called The Fresh Connection.
