Wow! When did it become December? We have had quite the year here at Hearts & Horses and we are really excited about Colorado Gives Day happening this week. In fact, watch our Facebook Page on Tuesday, December 9th as we release our much anticipated HAPPY video to kick off our "24 Hours of Happy" theme for this year's Colorado Gives Campaign.

Additionally, we still have lessons happening for two more weeks as well as a wonderful community holiday event on December 21st at Hearts & Horses. Keep on reading to learn more!

Support Hearts & Horses on Colorado Gives Day!

Colorado's largest one-day online giving event, presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, is coming up and we need your support.

On Tuesday, December 9, 2014, thousands of donors will come together to support Colorado nonprofits like ours. Last year, a record-breaking $20.9 million was distributed to Colorado nonprofits including over $20,000 for Hearts & Horses. This year, our goal is to raise $24K in 24 hours!

Meredith Hodges has graciously set up a match for each donation up to $10,000 donated on Colorado Gives Day. With this incentive, each dollar we receive up to $10,000 is doubled.

We are so fortunate to have such amazing and dedicated supporters of Hearts & Horses and look forward to reaching our goal this year!

Draft Horse Expo Day and Bud's Retirement Party

Sunday, December 21st from 12-3

Come on out to Hearts & Horses on

Sunday, December 21st for an afternoon of fun with the Northern Colorado Draft Horse Club

! There will be wagon rides, photo opportunities as well as a farewell party for Bud, one of our four-legged therapists. There also may be a visit from a certain jolly fellow who's known for his "ho ho ho's!"

Bud "Sir Rocco" - the 2012 PATH Intl. Region 10 horse of the year - has been with Hearts & Horses for over nine years. Bud has helped countless riders learn and grow in our therapeutic riding program, as well as assisting in Hippotherapy, Changing Leads and our Riding in the Moment programs. He has tons of character as well as a calm, gentle disposition that has won many hearts. Bud has put in his time and while he is still in good health and sound, we are so excited for Bud to retire and enjoy a life of leisure with his former owner and her grandkids! Thank you for all your hard work and compassion Bud! You are truly one of a kind!
