We would like to say THANK YOU for helping make 2014 such a successful year so far! We are currently adjusting our scheduling of classes towards a BLOCK SCHEDULE. The theory behind this is to reduce the "touch-time" with our horses and streamline the process for volunteers.
A BLOCK consists of two classes back to back with a 15 minute break in between with the same horses and horseleaders (and ideally the same tack). After that BLOCK is complete that horse is done for the day and is turned out to pasture for recess!
We are currently ready to schedule volunteers into our Session 4 BLOCKS. We are in transition to move our program to a potentially 100% BLOCK System, but as off now, 50% of the schedule fits in BLOCKS and the other 50% remains similar to last session. We are trying to schedule the BLOCK classes first, then, fill in the rest. Hearts and Horses is extremely excited to introduce this new system! We look forward to hearing your valuable input on how this works for Session 4 and move forward with implementing more BLOCKS in the future!
