Welcome Harmony Cook

Harmony comes to Hearts & Horses as our new Business Manager/Accounting, so next time you are in the office, swing by and say Hello!

Here is a little bit more about Harmony:

Harmony is a native of the small mountain town, Estes Park, but lived in Oregon for 4 years where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Accounting, from Pacific University in 2010.  After graduating, she gained professional experience in Business and Accounting with internships at KPMG and The Stanley Hotel. She then worked at The Estes Group where she quickly worked her way up the corporate latter and became the Accounting Manager. Harmony is highly efficient and detail oriented with her work.  She is also used to producing high quality work, in a time sensitive environment.

Harmony is passionate about traveling,
volunteering, learning, and the outdoors. She is excited to learn, and grow her skill set here with the amazing team at Hearts and Horses.

Thank You Rooftop Rodeo!

Huge thanks to the Rooftop Rodeo in Estes Park for letting us be a part of the event this year with a booth right by the front entrance! Everyone had a great time manning the booth, scanning tickets and helping out
in the arena with mutton bustin and rodeo clown props! It was a great event to share Hearts & Horses with as well as have a little fun. We look forward to joining in again next year!

Thank you SO much to all the volunteers who make the trek up the mountain this year: Taryn Lesser, Traci Flatt, Annie Helberg, Shelly Migliazzo, Meg Broderick, John Pettibon, Michelle Kane, Elissa Marshall, Kathi Meersman, Jan Pollema, Jordan Pollema, Katie Meininger, Linde Bischak, Amy Tripson

Welcome to the Herd, Sunny and Zulu

Hearts & Horses would formally like to introduce Sunny and Zulu who have recently joined our herd of four-legged therapists at for their trial period.

Sunny

Sunny is a solid mare who has followed her friend Slick to Hearts and Horses. Slick and Sunny are owned by board-member Steve Ray, and he has spent a lot of time out riding trails with Sunny. Steve found Sunny at Denkai Animal Sanctuary and fell in love with her, and it's not hard to guess why! With her "sunny" disposition and stunning color, Sunny is a beautiful addition to our herd.
Welcome Sunny!

Zulu

Zulu has left 40 acres of pasture and woods in Seattle to come and help at Hearts and Horses. He is a "gentle giant" with a huge heart. Zulu has always put a smile on people's faces and he brightens up the day. Zulu is an Irish Sport Horse. His father was a mix of Irish Draught Horse and European Warmblood, and his mother was a French Warmblood.
Join us in welcoming Zulu to Colorado!

Facility Improvements around the Ranch

If you haven't been out the the ranch lately, you may not recognize the it! The old Welcome Center has been torn down and what a view we have in its place! We have also cut down some trees to make way for the Kroh renovations as well as for some safety issues around the ranch. If you are in the Kroh you may also notice that the rafters and braces have been painted inside the arena. Although these changes are just the start of some bigger renovations, we have appreciated everyone's willingness to adapt and be flexible with their surroundings. Thank you!

Thanks for YOU and all you do!

Sincerely,

Your Hearts and Horses Family
