Check out this message from her:
"I believe anyone who has ever been a part of Hearts & Horses never truly "leaves." It is the kind of place where great things happen every day and it is directly because of the amazing people and horses who are involved. This being said, I am not leaving, but will not be such a permanent fixture on property. In December I will be graduating from UNC with my Master's in Special Education. I have accepted a full time position teaching Special Education at an elementary school here in Loveland which will begin in January. Whew... a lifetime full of school finally paid off! Don't worry, I will be back to teach summer camp THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me through this chapter and ride like the wind!"

Intriguing Interns: Breanna "Bree" Thomas
 | |
Bree & a friend
|
"Hi All!! My name is Breanna "Bree" Thomas. I am a native to Loveland, Colorado. I came to Hearts and Horses to gain equine knowledge before pursuing a certificate in Equine Massage. Someday I'd like to own a horse rescue/sanctuary.
"When I came to Hearts and Horses in June 2013 I started by helping with maintenance on the ranch. I then became a horse leader, side walker and Changing Leads horse leader. I progressed to helping with tack fitting and desensitizing the "new" herd members.
"Hearts and Horses has been such an amazing experience! The team is so wonderful to work with! They have taught me so many new things. It has been incredibly rewarding to be at Hearts and Horses every day helping in any capacity that was needed."

Tell Us Your Story: Robin Francis

Charlie
|
"I have been a rider for a short time - just 7 weeks with Stefani. I have a Traumatic Brain Injury that I got a year and a half ago trying to build a fence (alone) and knocking myself out with a t-post pounder. It changed my life dramatically!
"Since coming to Hearts and Horses, I have recovered rapidly - more than I have in a year and a half! I ride Charlie, who is such a gentleman and takes amazing care of me. I have my own horse but have been afraid of riding her and falling off. I need to build confidence and strength. Already I feel I have increased my confidence more than double! I was able to increase my hours at work and am not as fatigued as easily! "I am extremely grateful for Charlie, Stefani, and the volunteers at Hearts & Horses. My life has been changed greatly! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!"

THANK YOU for all you did here at Hearts and Horses.
"I remember my first day at Hearts and Horses, sitting in the first class of the Equine Specialist Workshop, I was flooded with relief when I realized this is exactly what I want to be doing in my life and as the days went by and I started getting more involved in the organization, I got more and more passionate about what I was experiencing at Hearts and Horses. I started this journey, knowing little of what I was getting myself into, but I knew there was something worth pursuing. I feel so fortunate and lucky that my path led me to Hearts and Horses and the people here. Thank you Hearts and Horses and all the staff for making me feel part of your amazing family, you were the best possible role model I could have asked for. What you do for people and how you bring human, horse and nature together is so special. I will miss every one (human and animals included) but I cannot wait to bring all that I have learnt back to South Africa."

Thanks for YOU and all you do! Sincerely, Your Hearts and Horses Family
