If a suspect you are questioning has no I.D. on them or you believe they are presenting you false identification and suspect that they are lying to you about who they really are, take all their pertinent information (i.e., name, height, weight, D.O.B., etc.) and pretend to run a name check on their bogus information. Wait a few minutes and then tell the suspect that they are wanted in Texas for murder. I guarantee they will now happily tell you who they really are.

In cases where I believed it's a false I.D., I would do the math in my head on the age of the birthdate they presented and say it shows that they are 24 years old. As I was talking with them, I would quickly say "you're 25, right?" - Adjusting the age up or down by 1 year. They almost always agreed with me because they do not think as fast.
