"History at Risk" is a biweekly reality/documentary web series that follows filmmaker Frank Tybush, as he searches out and interviews everyday heroes in their work to keep Americans in touch with their history.

The web series and this web site is produced by Jacquie Greff, Tonal Vision LLC. Our site includes information on Fell's Point, Fell's Pointer newsletters, the full videos of interviews we conducted for our episodes, and history-related information.

Have you Checked Your
Through Hull Fittings ?

Didn't think so... better add them to the list!

Thru Hull fittings and valves or seacocks (either Plastic or Bronze) are your first defense if a hose lets loose or a hose clamp fails
. The should be inspected, exercised and lubricated annually - and it's much easier out of the water !

Walk around the boat and see how many and where they are on the hull. Then go inside and locate them... any surprises ? Do some homework to use the correct lube and get busy. Remember that every underwater hose should have two stainless steel hose clamps. Do you have a set of tapered wooden or plastic bungs onboard should a thru hull fitting fail?

Kinetic Sculpture Race  Saturday May 2nd

The 2015 theme is OUT OF THIS WORLD, celebrating the 25th year of the Hubble Space Telescope.

Kinetic Sculptures are amphibious, human powered works of art custom built for the race. Each May, the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) hosts the East Coast Kinetic Sculpture Race Championship on the shore of Baltimore's Harbor. The eight-hour race covers 14 miles-mostly on pavement, but also including a trip into the Chesapeake Bay and through mud and sand.

Kinetic Sculpture Racing traces its roots to Ferndale, California in 1969 when artist Hobart Brown upgraded his son's tricycle into a 5-wheeled pentacycle and was challenged to a race down Main Street. (Hobart did not win.) Over the decades since, the California race evolved into a 3-day all-terrain Kinetic Grand Championship

including treacherous sand dunes, water crossings, and elaborate sculptures and costumes.
