McCourt School Hosts Privacy Principles Event: Keynoted by FTC Commissioner Maureen Ohlhausen and co-sponsored by the Georgetown Law Center, the McCourt School hosted its first major massive data event, Privacy Principals in the Era of Massive Data.
Tropaia No More: In recognition of our new status as the seventh school at Georgetown, the McCourt School will hold our first official commencement ceremony this May. This is a big change from years' past, when degrees were conferred during the Graduate School of Arts and Science's commencement ceremony, supplemented by GPPI's "Tropaia" or awards ceremony. Alumni-Student Networking Happy Hour: Local alumni joined the Women in Public Policy Initiative (WPPI) and other current students for an April happy hour at Elephant & Castle. WPPI members filled alumni in on a recent event that they hosted featuring a distinguished panel of women power players in DC.
McCourt Students Win Case Study Competition: Stephanie Keller Hudiburg (MPP '15) and Xueting Wang (MPP '14) were selected as award recipients for the 2014 Case Study Competition hosted by the American Society for Public Administration Center for Accountability & Performance.
