5th Annual Kips Bays Boys & Girls Club Decorator Show House Breakfast
ABOVE: Francoise Dion and Benoit Laroche of Richelieu
Our annual breakfast celebrating the Kips Bay Decorator Show House was well attended and absolutely wonderful. Graciously hosted by MIELE, the breakfast included coffee in the garden, passed brunch-style canapes in the luxurious kitchen designed by Bakes and Kropp, which featured some of Miele's latest appliances, and a tour of the house. A fabulous time was had by all!
This year's ICFF Show at the Javits Center included NKBA Manhattan Chapter's own VP Communications Toni Sabatino introducing her "Retro" collection for Baden Haus.

NKBA Manhattan is pleased to announce Felicitas Oefelein has been named our Vendor Excursion Coordinator.
Meet Felicitas:
"Just a little over two years ago, I was invited to visit MONOGRAM as a part of a group of NKBA members. I had so much fun, that shortly afterwards I decided to join this great organization. Since then, I have had the opportunity to travel to MTI in Georgia, back to MONOGRAM in KY for their annual Designer Summit, and I just returned from Jenn-Air in Chicago. I am very excited to be in charge of vendor excursions for the Manhattan chapter. Beyond going on fun trips, I enjoy our monthly board meetings and have made some real friends in this awesome community. I moved to New York from Germany over 20 years ago. Now I specialize in high-end residential design and own two companies: FO Design and HomedesignRX. I also taught Materials at Parsons for a number of years, so I have a natural passion for designing kitchens and bathrooms-anything with hard surfaces. I share my home with my cat-man Basil, love to grow herbs and veggies in the summer, and entertain and cook with friends and neighbors in my renovated kitchen."

May flowers are in bloom! This month NYC had big things in store for the design trade with NYCxDesign, ICFF and Opening Night at the A&D Building. We hope you turned out, had fun, and were inspired!
At ICFF, our Chapter's Communications VP, designer Toni Sabatino, debuted RETRO, her  signature line of bathroom vanities. We congratulate Toni for having the foresight to partner with Baden Haus and bring something new and unique to the interior design arena. Brava!
Don't forget that the 45th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House, at 125 East 61st St., will remain open to visit until June 6th. The designers have outdone themselves this year with unique and inspiring room couture. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind designer showcase. In tandem with this show, our chapter held its annual celebratory Kips Bay Decorator Show House Breakfast there on May 24th. A great time was had by all.
Next month our chapter event will take place at the beautiful Pirch showroom in SoHo. Please mark your calendars for June 21st  and come on down. We want to see you there. Enjoy!
