Naples Public Library NewsletterFebruary 2014

Dear Patron,

We devoted this month's issue to offer you many examples of how your Library can help you, and to remind you how you can help us!

Please note that if you see any text below that is underlined in blue, you can click on that to access information, email or a web link.

How we can help you!

We're going to feature a video each month in this newsletter with a helpful tip.  Please click here to go to the new YouTube page and watch our first video.  It is an introduction to using the NPL website and card catalog! If you like this video, please feel free to share with your family and friends and encourage them to sign up for the Naples Public Library Newsletter by sending us an email.  We will be adding videos each month, so check back periodically at the Naples Public Library YouTube page.

We can also help you...

Speaking of taxes, NPL has copies of the most frequently requested tax forms printed and ready for your use. We can get you tax forms at no cost, but we do need to charge our standard 20¢ per page if you would like instructional booklets printed.

Please find out more about our online and digital services by clicking on the Marvel, Download Library or Learning Express links to the right.  Marvel will answer your questions.  You can borrow eBooks and audiobooks for free at the Download Library.  And lastly, LearningExpress has hundreds of video tutorials ranging from how to register to be a Marvel user to how to get legal assistance and much, much more!

Sincerely,
Christine Powers, Director
Naples Public Library
How You Can Help Us!

Thank you if you have already made a contribution to the Naples Public Library annual appeal.  To continue to provide the many services at NPL, we rely on your support. If you have not yet had a chance to make a donation, we ask that you please click here to donate online via PayPal.  You can also mail your tax deductible donation to us at the address listed below.

You can support all Maine Libraries by donating via your Maine income tax form. Proceeds from the 2013 tax check-off supported the purchase of additional Ebooks for the Maine InfoNet Download Library. In 2013, 1,013 Naples Public Library patrons borrowed 1,013 eBooks through the Maine State Library and 453 audiobooks.  Depending on the amount of funds raised, the check-off could also support:

  • Expanding interlibrary loan support
  • Creating new library programming
  • Supporting special consultant services from which all can benefit
  • And so much more!
Click here or to find out more about supporting Maine Libraries on your 2013 Maine Income Tax form.
We are looking for some desk volunteers in the Children's Library as well as story time readers.  Please consider sharing your talents!

We're working on a Naples Public Library BLOG for book reviews.  Would you like to write a review?  Let us know via email.

Please note the "Help Your Library" box along the right side of this newsletter in red for other ideas on how you can help.

As always, we thank you for your patronage and your support.
