Toffee-tastic Cookies
We are in awe of how popular the new Toffee-tastic cookies have been! At this point, we are unable to accept additional requests for Toffee-tastic cookies. Our Help Desk is currently working through the Toffee-tastic Wait List and anyone on the wait list will be contacted by Wednesday, March 16 with a status update. Please check your email for this message. If you do not hear anything by Wednesday, we do not have your information on our wait list. We thank you for your patience during this process as we do our best to fulfill as many orders as we possibly can with the extra cookies we received from a sister Girl Scout council.
Volunteer Cupboard Update
We would like to give a huge Girl Scout Thank You to our volunteer Cookie Cupboard Managers.  You have supported so many leaders and girls during this amazing Girl Scout Cookie Program!  As we move into our final weeks, some of these locations will begin to close.
  • Please make sure to contact your local volunteer cupboards for the most up to date information on product availability and closing dates.
  • The Hopewell Cupboard closed today, March 11th, at 2:00 pm.  There will be limited product available over the weekend.  This cupboard will close for the season at the end of the day Monday, March 14th!

ADULT TRAINING & EVENTS
Volunteer Appreciation Week Essay Contest
In celebration of the fantastic volunteers within this Council, it's time yet again to share with our community why your leader is so special. Girls are invited to write a very short 200 word essay about how their leader is helping to build their courage, confidence, or character. Each leader can only be nominated for one of the three C's, so find which C your leader instills and inspires in you the most and share that with us! Essay contest winners will be chosen based on the most inspiring story. One winner from each essay category, Courage, Confidence, and Character will be chosen and announced on Volunteer Appreciation Day, April 22! The deadline to submit is April 15. Every leader nominated will receive a certificate of appreciation. One leader chosen from each category will receive a $50 gift card to the GSCV Retail Shop to reward them for their hard work and dedication. Every girl has a story to tell and every leader leaves a legacy, we can't wait to see what our girls share with us this year! Submit your essay here: https://comgirlscouts.org/volunteer-appreciation-week-essay-contest/.
Special Training Opportunity for GS Volunteers
We have an opportunity to invite several GSCV volunteers to attend the Climbing Wall & Ropes Course Training at Camp Kitty, scheduled for all day on Saturday, April 23. Would you like to get trained on our course elements and belay skills?  Once the course is satisfactorily completed, participants will be able to run the climbing wall and ropes course at Camp Kitty and also run those elements or belay at other course sites as well! This will be at NO COST to you! Camping for Friday and Saturday night will be permitted. Stay tuned for more details about meals and snacks.

The positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We currently have 5-7 spaces available. Please email Aaron-Paula Thompson at ([email protected]) to reserve your space as soon as possible.
