Toffee-Tastics Update
Wow!  What an exciting first week of the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

As we informed you last week, our pilot program for the gluten-free Toffee-tastics was met with a huge demand in the Central Virginia region. To meet the demand, we have secured an additional 350 cases of Toffee-tastics from across the country, which will enable us to fill each and every request that have been made to date through our systems.

We are currently in the process of reaching out personally to each troop leader and parent who has requested Toffee-tastics to determine the best pick up location for each group.

Thank you again for your patience, and your support of girls as they build their planning, entrepreneurial and financial skills.

PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES
Girl Scout Week: March 6-12
Over a century ago -- when women in the U.S. did not even have the right to vote -- Juliette Gordon Low encouraged girls to dream big and embrace their individual strengths. An impressive 104 years later, Juliette's vision still carries meaning and purpose for all of us who share in the sisterhood of Girl Scouting. Celebrating Girl Scouts' birthday on March 12 allows us to honor our rich traditions while looking to our organization's future possibilities. Girl Scout Week allows all Girl Scouts -- whether young or young at heart -- to reflect on the ways we live the Promise and Law every day. Share with us how you and your troop are celebrating Girl Scout week.

Minerva Application Deadline Extension
GSUSA has partnered with Minerva to provide 4-year scholarships covering half of yearly tuition ($5,000) to Girl Scouts. This is a unique opportunity to help girls continue their leadership development after leaving Girl Scouts. Any girl who has completed her Gold Award, participated in a Destination, or traveled with her troop can apply for this scholarship. The application is free and the deadline has been extended to March 15th, so we encourage you to share this opportunity with your girls today.

For more information, girls may website or join an information session with Minerva students, staff, and faculty. Minerva was also recently featured in  The New York Times. Girl Scouts who apply will automatically be considered for the scholarships, so they can begin applying today.
