Troop 263 Rocks Pamunkey Ridge Girl Scout Camp

In the past year this troop has done three amazing projects to benefit Pamunkey Ridge Girl Scout Camp.

In the spring, Lucy Allen completed her Bronze Award by designing and building a wood box complete with a rain barrel. Her creative design will be replicated at both camps.

Over the summer, Langley Polk and Jenna Montijo stripped and painted the inside doors of some cabins with blackboard paint so the girls and counselors can leave messages and be creative with chalk. For their Bronze Project, their desire was to encourage creativity and discourage writing and carving on the walls of our camp cabins.

Also, over the past several months, Emma Brace has been working with area woodworkers and others to design and build what she calls "camp cubbies". She did all the math calculations and figured out all the material quantities she needed. She then had to find people with the necessary power tools to assist her with the cutting, woodworking and assembling of the cubbies. She wanted to provide campers with a cubby next to their bunk for their flashlight, book and other personal items while they are at camp.

GSCV Midlothian Office

*While a girl can become a Girl Scout anytime during the year, on-time registration ensures a re-registering Girl Scout experiences no lapse in her Girl Scouting experience.

Bank Account Conversions

Please note that bank account conversions will be suspended between October 1 and December 1 so that the account openings and closings will not disrupt Fall Product Program collections and payments.
