We LOVE the Cadettes of Troop 81!
The Cadettes of Girl Scout Troop 81 decided to take action to make a hospital stay for a child a little more enjoyable. These girls learned to sew and made stuffed snakes and small pillows to be given out to boys and girls during their stay at the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. They made the world a better place by taking away the fear of being in the hospital and replacing it with a smile.
Girls Left to Right: Mariah, Sasha, Kassie, Rachael, Katie, and Olivia

Girl Scout Harvest Day
July 13, 2013
Fun for the whole family! The Food Bank of the Northern Neck has started a model community project of gleaning the produce that grocery stores can't use. This means more access to fresh, healthy food for the families of the Northern Neck. At GS Harvest Day, we will be harvesting corn for the food bank. Girls and their families will get the opportunity to get up close to agriculture and find out how the food we eat is grown. Please bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy after the work is done! This event is in upper Westmoreland County (near the Northern Neck), but is only 20 minutes from Fredericksburg near the King George County line. Register on COMAR
