Present Road Conditions

Town staff report that the roads are slushy but traffic is proceeding with out incident. Due to the significant amount of moisture still sitting on the roadway, we expect refreezing to cause problems during the Monday morning traffic commute. Roads will be resanded in the morning, please exercise caution if you plan to get out. 

Monday Garbage Collection

Unfortunately, not much has thawed on residential driveways. Thus, we have decided to cancel garbage collection for Monday December 9th. The next scheduled collection date will be Wednesday December 11th. We realize that residents will have a heavier than normal load, but are confident that all household garbage will be picked up by the end of the day on Wednesday. 

This has been a unusually severe weather event. We expect all town services to return to normal as conditions improve.
